Parents of Bright and Gifted Children, please join us for A Night out with ABC Waterloo Region!
Thursday, April 18, 2013, 7:00pm-9:00pm, at Death Valley’s Little Brother, 84 King Street North, Waterloo, ON
We all know it is not easy to raise gifted children. Many of us have difficulties navigating the school system as we struggle to figure out how to help our children. A significant number of our children are twice exceptional (gifted with learning difficulties) and that can make the struggles much greater. We understand the challenges that the parents of gifted children face and we can help.
Please note that this is a parents only event.
Welcome to www.abcwaterloo.WordPress.com. This Blog is designed to provide information to parents in the Waterloo Region on various topics related to Giftedness. Our aim is to help support and advocate for bright and gifted learners in the Waterloo Region. Whether you are part of the Public or Catholic School Board the organization helps to educate, provide knowledge and support to families.
Failing to identify or serve a gifted child is “like having an oil well in your backyard and not pumping it,” said Renzulli. “We’re cutting off the talent supply.”

What is ABC?
The Association for Bright Children of Ontario is an all-volunteer, provincially incorporated support and advocacy group, with many chapters across Ontario. It is dedicated to providing information and support to parents of bright and gifted children and adolescents through newsletters, networking, an annual conference and local workshops. It offers the parents’ voice to local school boards, educators, professional groups and the Ontario Ministry of Education.
ABC Waterloo aims to meet every month to share and discuss our concerns, learn about what is happening within our local school boards, and talk about upcoming events.
ABC will hold its next public meeting in Fall of 2012. Please sign up to get an automatic update.
